FBI, CIA, Military or Ministry

Being a PW is difficult sometimes since we are not privy to certain information. I imagine this is how FBI agent's, CIA agent's and soldier's with top secret clearance wives feel. Once my husband goes behind  closed doors for deacon's meetings, church meetings, finance meetings, etc. I am no longer privy to that information. Now granted sometimes I will be told at a later date but only if it is necessary. For those of you who know me well....this is hard thing for me sometimes. I am, well, nosey I guess you could say. I like to know what is going on all the time. So for a PW this is a struggle, I pray about it often and for other PW's who might struggle with this too. I know this may seem insignificant to some but I share everything with my husband so it is hard for me to know that there are things due to his job that he can't share with me. 
I pray if you deal with this no matter what your husband's job is that you will be able to relate and know you are not alone.

Have you ever sat and wondered in midst of a crisis would someone call upon you? Would they call upon you as a prayer warrior, a friend to talk to, a counselor, an advisor, a take the kids friend, a come go with me friend or a would you bare this burden with me friend. 7 realities of being a pastor's wife

I recently read a blog called "Seven Inescapable Realities of Being a Pastor's Wife"  (check out this blog, it hit the nail on the head. http://flourish.me/seven-inescapable-realities-of-being-a-pastors-wife/  )  These are all things I have already encountered in our 7 years of ministry. I mean first off what woman doesn't want to be liked? And even more so what woman doesn't want to be liked by her church peers. (Oh don't give me that every woman compares herself to other women in the church and wants to be accepted. It is in our nature!) But not everyone is going to like you. The congregation may love your husband and think he is the best thing since sliced bread but it doesn't mean they are going to like you. No matter how hard you try. Which is hard for us as a pastor's wife to accept because "we" come as a package and if they like him they have to like me......not true. But remember this is a season. Here we go again......

Wow! It's has been a long time since I have done a blog entry on here. Part if it I started back to work full time outside of the home, part of it is being the wife of a senior pastor, part of it is changes in our church, part of it is welcoming new staff members at church , part of it is having to daughters who go 100 miles an hour in different directions and honestly part of it is life in general. However, the major part of it is I haven't made time to stop and blog. To stop and share with you the things God has laid on my heart. I don't have a ton of followers or even a ton of readers but I share what I do because God lays it on my heart and I pray it will help someone who might need to hear it.
